We hope this newsletter finds you in great spirits and ready to savor the highlights from our First Annual pie bake-off contest! It was an afternoon filled with delicious treats, spirited competition, and heartwarming community support.
A Flavorful Contest
Our pie bake-off was a resounding success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of our talented bakers and the support from our wonderful spectators. The event featured an impressive array of apple and blueberry pies, showcasing the incredible baking skills of our local pie makers.
Meet the Judges
We were honored to have a diverse panel of judges to taste and deliberate over the mouthwatering pies:

- Sponsor: Karen Parker from Crows Feat Farm, whose generosity and support that makes events like this possible.
- Weekly Shopper: Mr. Anderson of Hampton Falls, a valued member of our market community with a discerning palate.
Kids’ Category Winner
The kids’ category was a delightful highlight of the event. We are thrilled to announce that the winner of this category was Isabelle H of Eliot, Maine! Her creative and delicious pie truly impressed the judges. It adorned a lobster cut-out crust that impressed many! Our Second place winner was Molly J. of Hampton Falls! The judges loved the lattice work on her pie and loved the apple filling! Great job girls! We can’t wait to see what you do next year.
Adult Pie Bake-Off Results
In the adult category, we saw an impressive 10 submissions, each more delectable than the last. The competition was fierce, and we are proud to recognize the following winners:
- 1st Place: Anne Lane of Hampton Falls – Her pie stood out for its exceptional flavor and presentation. The judges took particular notice of her lattice work and hearts on her crust
- 2nd Place: Steve Trahan of Hampton Falls – His pie was a close contender, showing remarkable skill and taste. Steve came to us with THREE awards from other Pie Bake Offs giving everyone a run for their money. The judges’ comments included; apples nice & crisp with great flavor and another judge found his crust to be rich and buttery in the best way possible!
- 3rd Place: Our 3rd place winner Stacey Brown of Hampton. Stacey made an apple pie that the judges found had an “outstanding crust” and a “firm and tangy filling”
Congratulations to all our winners and participants! Your dedication and passion for baking made this event truly special. We hope to see you all next year as well!
