Rules and Regulations

1. GENERAL 
The Hampton Falls Farmers’ Market (HFFM) was formed to establish to promote locally grown or produced products. The increased consumption of these local goods strengthens local farms, benefits the local economy and brings enjoyment to local consumers.
The rules that follow are designed to make clear the expectations of the HFFM, the authority it has delegated to the market manager and those who become members of the Hampton Falls Farmers’ Market.The Hampton Falls Farmers’ Market is to adopt and amend these rules and regulations, establish an operating plan, operating budget and raise the necessary funds to support the operating budget. In addition, establish and collect application and marketing fees.

2. VENDOR APPLICATION
Membership on the Hampton Falls Farmers’ Market is a prerequisite to selling any product at the market.  In order to be considered to become a vendor must fill out our Vendor Application. New and Returning Vendors are required to apply annually.

3. Vendor Responsibilities 
Products offered for sale at the Hampton Falls Farmers’ Market must be locally grown, produced,  or handmade by the vendor, no selling other farms products. Baked goods jellies and similar prepared foods  may be sold if made by the vendor. If items need to be prepared in a commercial kitchen, the facilities license needs to be provided.

-Goods offered for sale are expected to be of high quality. Each vendor should give care to weather conditions such as hot sunny days, windy conditions, etc. to provide customers with the best product possible. Dairy items etc. need to be kept on ice and 40* max.

-If you wish to add an item for sale, you must first notify the market manager prior to selling permission. 

-Any item being offered for sale that is sold by weight either has to be labeled with weight and price or if being weighed at the time of sale, a proof of scale calibration needs to accompany application. If selling by volume, standard sized containers such as pints, quarts, etc. must be used. 

-Vendors will provide their own 10×10 tent (camping tents not allowed) and tables. Hampton Falls Farmers market does not provide tents or canopies. Tents should be in presentable and good repair, clean and attractive. NO TENT STAKES are permitted on the grounds, please use tent weights (recommended: 20 lbs per leg to sustain winds). Vendors with no tents will be permitted, please let us know in advance as there is a designated area for this.

-Craft vendors shall be defined as members who offer for sale their own locally made crafts, made by them. All crafts need to be fitting with a farmers’ market.

-Vendors are required to keep their market area neat and clean of obstacles, litter and debris. Vendors are responsible for bringing garbage containers for disposal of paper products, wrappers, etc. for the convenience of their customers. At the end of market day, areas must be left clean.

-Setup may start 1 hour before the Markets start time in their designated areas. All vendors are expected to be setup and ready to sell by the start of the Market. All vendors are expected to stay till the end of the market.
